There's all sorts of reasons to quit playing games.

My PC gaming group is all essentially 22-27 year old guys. My group of arcade gaming friends also consists of a wide variety of ages, spanning both genders. The social aspect of Arcade gaming, as well seeing all the businessmen in suits at the arcade, make me feel like I'll never truly quit playing some form of gaming. I also took up arcade gaming here, with Maimai being my recent addiction. The feeling of playing a game with friends is amazing for me, especially when we live 13 timezones away now. I have certainly cut back on how much gaming I do since moving here, but I still look forward to new games like Star Citizen, Enemy Within, Titanfall, Monster Hunter Frontier (Vita), etc too much to ever consider permanently quitting. Overall "quitting" gaming was a positive experience for me but I don't see myself doing it permanently.

I don't study when I have friends online to play a match with. I still go on walks, but on for like 30 minutes tops (not counting my commute). I now have internet again and pretty much slowed down my reading back to my normal average of one book a month. I went on long walks and discover my new neighborhood, and loved it. I read a lot of books, finishing some in one day (such as Ender's Game).

During that time I sometimes played Dark Souls on my PS3 but other then that I did a lot more outdoorsy things and engaged in my other hobbies more. This basically meant a 7 week break from PC gaming. I generally only play online games such as CS:GO, Dota 2, and whatnot. Starting in May I had no internet (7 weeks long) due to moving to a new apartment and getting everything figured out (in a foreign country). /r/GamePhysics - Clips of game physics shining and glitchingĭesign based on /r/FlatBlue created by /u/creesch./r/gaming4gamers - middle ground between purely-for-fun and more serious subreddits./r/GamingLeaksAndRumours - Leaks and Rumors.Posting unmarked spoilers will result in removal and warning, and posting spoilers with malicious intent will result in a ban.
